Grant Summary
$250,000 over 42 months to give promising underserved high school seniors from the surrounding area of Providence, Rhode Island an opportunity to participate in a two-week humanities seminar, where students will study humanity’s deepest questions about leading lives of purpose and civic responsibility, and a school-year college support and civic engagement program. The University of Rhode Island is now prepared to implement all of the components of the Knowledge for Freedom Initiative, serving students from Providence.
