The College Completion Innovation Fund is the first collaborative fund focused exclusively on college retention and completion in New York City. It was established in an effort to support both the NYC Department of Education's (DOE) Equity & Excellence agenda and the City University of New York's (CUNY) Strategic Framework as it pertains to increasing college completion rates.

The CCIF began as the result of conversations between CUNY, the NYC DOE, Graduate NYC, and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF). MSDF generously offered a 1:1 matching grant (up to $500,000) to encourage other funders to participate in the Fund. The Teagle Foundation joined the fund in May 2015.

This report details the development of the fund, grants awarded, benefits for funders as well as benefits to the field.
