This news spot covers Books@Work's pilot program of a book club for seniors in Cleveland who are homebound during COVID-19. The program is a collaboration that includes Kent State University professors, the Cleveland Department of Aging, and local non-profit Literacy Cooperative. The program provides socialization and mental stimulation of some of Cleveland's most vulnerable, isolated residents through discussing books on the phone. The Foundation contributes to Books@Work through a special effort to support liberal arts "beyond the academy."
