Grant Summary
$200,000 over 24 months to John Jay College to place the humanities and criminal justice into dialogue, providing future students interested in a career in law enforcement and other areas of criminal justice with an education rooted in humanistic texts that foster problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. This project has two overarching components: (1) the development and implementation of courses that integrate humanities and criminal justice (2) the expansion of the Justice e-Reader, which will help complement the new courses and expose more students outside the courses to humanistic readings.
