Grant Summary
$45,000 over six months to design a model for summer professional development institutes targeted at graduate students and early career faculty in the humanities to strengthen their skills in teaching undergraduate students. The institutes will emphasize how literature PhD holders can leverage their literature training as a strength in designing and teaching developmental writing, English as a Second Language, and composition courses. The institutes will be delivered 2-3 times a year on a regional basis to ease the burden of travel for participants.
