Grant Summary
$150,000 over 18 months to support The Aspen Institute’s Business & Society Program. Aspen launched its Undergraduate Business Education Consortium in 2011 with support from the Teagle Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation of New York to create a forum to “raise the bar” in undergraduate business education by strengthening demand among students, educators, and recruiters for the infusion of the liberal arts in business preparation. The Aspen Consortium currently has 61 members and aims to promote robust exchange of ideas about curricular design and innovative pedagogy that integrate the liberal arts into business education. This grant will enable Aspen staff to support 10-15 institutions that have demonstrated real commitment to moving beyond isolated innovations toward robust and sustainable curricular integration and to promote their efforts as models to the larger community of undergraduate management educators.
