Grant Summary
$250,000 over 42 months to implement Journeys in Justice, a Knowledge for Freedom program that will give promising underserved high school seniors from Atlanta and its surrounding areas an opportunity to participate in a five-week humanities seminar and a school-year college support and civic engagement program. The seminar will focus on the theme of the journey, particularly as it relates to the history of Freedom Riders in Georgia, and will help students form their own answers to the question: What are my rights and responsibilities as a citizen?
