Grant Summary

$300,000 over 36 months to Community Learning Partnership and six colleges to finalize and implement the course U.S. Government for All: Ideals and Possibilities across multiple campuses. U.S. Government for All: Ideals and Possibilities fills an urgent need for civic education at community colleges across the country. Dedicated to serving students who are often either first-generation Americans or from low-income and minority households, community colleges teach students, who, in CLP’s words, “have faced intense barriers to seeing themselves in the national narrative and feeling invited to become full participants in the nation’s civic life.”
