Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to develop a two-semester gateway course sequence, including an interdisciplinary introduction to the humanities course and Foundations of American Democracy courses. Through orientation and advising, students will be encouraged to complete both courses, which satisfy general education requirements. Students who add three pathway courses from a thematic area (Culture and Communication; Medicine and Healthcare; Sustainable World, Justice and Community; or Government, Society, and the Public Good) will earn a Cornerstone Certificate.
