Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to plan for the UMass Cornerstone “Narrative Leadership” initiative, which will involve a year-long sequence of two mandatory gateway courses and the ability to work toward a five-course certificate under the following four proposed thematic clusters: Environmental Humanities; Science/Technology and the Humanities; Business and the Humanities; and Global Studies and the Humanities. The two proposed gateway courses are Being Human: Local Questions and Being Human: Global Perspectives. The program will aim to develop the skills of critical thinking, textual analysis, and broad ethical reflection.
