Grant Summary
$45,000 over 12 months to support the College Directions Program (CDP) and Team Center, which serves 300 students. Kingsbridge Heights will address the college access and success needs of its participants through integrating a newly appointed College Success Counselor with current and previous CDP participants; increasing involvement of youth accessing KHCC college services; improving opportunities for youth to learn about the benefits of attending college and the process of successfully applying; and developing opportunities for high school and/or college level youth leaders to learn and implement peer-to-peer college access counseling and guidance. Kingsbridge Heights will also use the grant period to seek funding from a mix of private and government sources for programming and capacity support.
