Grant Summary
$31,000 over 12 months to develop a plan in partnership with other community colleges in the City University of New York (CUNY) to embed core texts in humanities education. This project builds on Hostos Community College’s successful efforts to incorporate core texts in its English composition sequence required for graduation. As part of this project, Hostos will develop a plan to introduce core texts to developmental students in English and engage other CUNY community colleges in incorporating core texts in their own humanities curriculum.
