Grant Summary
$300,000 over 31 months to implement a Knowledge for Freedom Program at NYU Wagner that enables promising underserved rising high school seniors from New York City to participate in a two-week summer humanities seminar and a school-year civic engagement program. This will be the first Knowledge for Freedom Program that is housed in a school for public service, an opportunity for students to learn about the ideas that inform democratic life as well as government policy and programs committed to improving life in their own city.
