Grant Summary
$25,000 over 12 months to Hollins University to complete a rigorous 12-month planning process with the assistance of the Teagle team to implement a Knowledge for Freedom program in the summer of 2023 or 2024. This program will help the University address the post-secondary attainment gap for local high school students living in the Roanoke Valley. A team of faculty from Classics, Modern Languages, English, History, and Philosophy will create a transformative text seminar that focuses on questions about freedom and agency with an emphasis on the lives of women.
