Grant Summary
$300,000 over 42 months to Fordham University to implement all the components of the Knowledge for Freedom program, including a rigorous academic seminar, college application support, and an opportunity to return to campus during the year to complete a public service project. The rigorous summer humanities seminar will be centered on visions of the good life throughout history, from Plato, Aristotle, and the Stoics to more contemporary thinkers such as José Martí and Toni Morrison. Students will also receive ongoing support from undergraduate mentors as well as staff members from the admissions and financial aid office.
