Grant Summary
$280,000 over 36 months to support a project that brings together Franklin & Marshall College, Bucknell University, and the University of Pennsylvania to integrate the liberal arts in undergraduate business education. The project will explore ways to build a “two-way street” between the liberal arts and business, with business students cultivating the capacity for innovation and creative problem-solving in the business world through the liberal arts, and liberal arts students benefiting from perspectives on entrepreneurship. Assessment will be carried out at each institution by the Center for Opinion Research at Franklin & Marshall to include student learning outcomes to capture new knowledge and skills gained as a result of the redesigned curriculum. The project will culminate in a conference aimed at schools with undergraduate business programs to highlight the work of the partners and deepen dialogue on integrating the liberal arts in business preparation.
