Grant Summary
$310,000 over 30 months to connect three faculty from each institution to collaboratively develop hybrid courses in areas such as Communication; Economics; Gender Studies; History; Religion; Writing; Spanish and lesser taught languages; and modules, tutorials, and “virtual labs” in the sciences. In tandem with faculty developing and launching courses, campus leaders will develop credit transfer arrangements and policies for allocating seats, sharing costs, and managing teaching loads to ensure the long-term sustainability and viability of the consortium. The project will conclude with a conference that will focus on documenting and disseminating hybrid models and their learning benefits, nurturing sustainable cross-institutional collaborations, and encouraging new faculty to develop and teach hybrid learning courses using the professional development resources developed by through this grant.
